Welcome to Broughton House Surgery
The practice consists of three doctors, who work closely with health visitor, district and practice nurses, and our reception team to give a seam-less service. Our aim is to give the very highest standards of care to our patients, in a climate of mutual respect.
We hope to use our surgery website as a way of presenting all our patients with an up to date resource for all information relating to our practice. We will keep it current with any news, developments & details that are relevant to the practice & our patients.
As well as a source of information about our Practice, the staff & the services we provide, we hope you use the website as a useful resource with links to other reliable websites for health related information. If there is topical health information we will also add this to the website.

Advice re Pandemic Flu Updated 3.7.09If you are displaying flu like symptoms as listed below you should stay at home and contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or the surgery for telephone advice. Please DO NOT come into the surgery or attend A&E as you may need to nominate a 'flu friend' to liaise with the doctor and collect medication on your behalf, at any time of day or night. Please think about who may be a suitable 'flu friend' NOW.

All patients with any flu like symptoms should follow the following advice:
Avoid contact with other people as much as possible
Cover your nose /mouth when sneezing or coughing - use a tissue and dispose of promptly and carefully
Maintain good hygiene by washing hands frequently with soap and water to reduce the spread of virus
Clean hard surfaces (eg door handles) frequently with normal cleaning products
Make sure that your children follow this advice
For routine enquires about swine flu, please contact the Flu Information Line on 0800 1 513513 as this will help reduce the volume of calls that the surgery is having to deal with at this current time. If you have symptoms, please contact the surgery and hold for a receptionist - we apologise for any delays in answering, but we are dealing with unprecidented demand at this current time
