Repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone, as this can lead to mistakes with specific wording and dosage. It is important for us to eliminate the possibility of error, this safeguards you as the patients.

This change is in line with other local practices. Repeat prescriptions will be processed in 2 working days. We will take repeat prescriptions over the telephone for patients who are immobile/housebound or terminally ill,

A box is available in the reception area for repeat prescriptions to be placed in.

URGENT Requests

We are now unable to provide urgent on the day requests - it is the patients responsibility to ensure they order their medication in good time.  If you cant get into the surgery, then you can order online; if you have lost your slip then please drop your details along with the names of the medications you need into the surgery or order online.  If you have no medication left, if you take your empty boxes to your regular pharmacist, they will issue a three day supply or a number of medications can be purchased from the pharmacist.

Warfarin Tablets

If you are ordering your warfarin medication, then we need your anti-coagulant book in, so as we can take a copy of your last result.   This is to ensure that the correct medication is being given, as the hospital still retain the responsibility of dosing for patients, but have passed the responsibility for prescribing to the GPs now.  A prescription will not be issued without the yellow book, or a photocopy of your last result.

This is for routine prescription requests only, as the mailbox will only be checked once a day.  Please do not send any medical questions via this form.

We have had a number of calls saying patients have received text messages about their blood results.  Please be advised that WE DO NOT SEND RESULTS OUT BY TEXT and believe these to be linked with the scam, highlighted above.

The only text messages sent from the Practice over the last 4 days have been requesting smoking data and one to advise patients that the results of the patient survey are available on the practice website
